   How Moisture Enters A Crawlspace

Illustration of how moisture enters a crawlspace

  1. Moisture on walls and dirt floor or plastic barrier appears from excess humidity or condensation.
    Solution: Humidity/Odor Control System.
  2. Water enters through the ground and comes from hydrostatic pressure (water building up from below and being forced up into the crawlspace).
    Solution: Pressure Relief System.
  3. Water enters through the cracks, seams, or other penetrations in the walls. This is due to water draining or being forced through the walls.
Solution: Exterior System or Crack Injection Solution.
  4. Water flows over the top of the walls because of improper grading. It could also be caused by improperly sealed porches or additions.
Solution: Contact Seal-Tite® for outside drainage options.
